It was the last day of the Capertee Valley trip. I woke up from a dream; someone wanting to
photograph something. The dream had a sense of urgency about it. Photograph something. It was 6:30AM. I looked out the window and saw the sky was
clear. No rain. No rain clouds. Ok, I thought, photograph something. I had my cup of tea, collected my gear and
walked out the back door. The sun had
not yet risen above the cliffs. Streams
of fog were rolling in. Pink light still
hinted at a sunrise. The cold bit at my
fingers. But I strode out into the
waking day, binoculars and camera in hand. On the way back I was presented with a white
rainbow. It is a rare weather phenomenon. I had to ask my father, and Google it to find this info. I happened to be in the right place at the
right time to see it. I thanked the day for giving me such a gift.
